Danny Elfman talks about the music for Dark Shadows.
Danny Elfman could talk about his toenails and I would still listen with rapt attention. His voice is like talented fingers all over my soul, massaging me and then surprising me with a happy ending every time.

Everything is just an adventure, one more story to tell. There’s good everywhere that you hate, and there’s crap everywhere that you love….
Tumbleweeds are /awesome/. When they were in uni, my parents son and his flatmates would go out every christmas, find a big ole tumbleweed, bring it home, and decorate it with buttons and string and shiny things they’d find and articles from The Inquirer or Weekly World News.
When I first moved out here, I’d never seen a Canadian goose. I thought it was the most incredible thing thing ever, and one day, my son and I saw a few outside, so we sat out there and tossed em some bread. About 5 minutes later, there were about 70 and my neighbours hated me.

…I’m not crazy about nebraska, either. But I could drive up to WI in under 12 hours, which is the only benefit.
Me, driving from CA to Chicago when I moved out here (( there was alcohol and sex involved, don’t question my motives )) … PRETTY STATE, LOVELY DESERT, LOVELY MOUNTAINS, EEEE SNOW! (( that was when he hit CO )) and then .. corn corn corn cows cows cows corn cows corn cows corn corn corn Chicago. After CO, we drove for 3 days in which every time I woke up, I was convinced we’d not moved 2 bloody feet, cuz it was still the same farm on the right, I swear.

I think the Temple is still in SLC? Unless they added a new one since I lived there, or just have a horrid memory, which is entirely possible. I used to live in a tiny little town directly…
Urgh. I think if you leave more than one reply, it erases the first one. Anywho, if so, I assure you that the Temple is in SLC. It’s kind of a thing, the centre of the religion. I used to go to school in Ogden and went to Rocky Horror in SLC, and we’d always flip off the temple on the way past it at nite. If you can get past the fact of what it is, it really is a lovely building. Houses evil, but whatever. It’s purty!
